Our Monday night practice group is open to anyone wishing to deepen their relationship to their practice.
After receiving a teaching and blessing we are often motivated to practice. Many times the power of the blessing and the inspiration of the teaching helps overcome our usual habit of resistance and distraction, it is good to nurture this opportunity.
Practicing together is a joyful
and supportive experience. As each of us takes our seat, we know we are sitting not only
for ourselves and each other but for all sentient beings.
Please feel welcome to join us in practice each Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm

About Bon
Bon is Tibets oldest spiritual tradition and the indigenous source of Tibetan culture. Followers of Bon receive teachings and transmissions from teachers in lineages unbroken from ancient times to the present day. While much of modern Bon is similar to Tibetan Buddhism, Bon retains the richness and flavor of its pre-Buddhist roots. Its teachings range from harmonizing our body, speech and mind with the elemental energies of nature to the Great Perfection teachings of dzogchen.
Ligmincha Institute, founded by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche in 1992 and located in Charlottesville, Virginia, was created to preserve the Tibetan Bon culture, teachings and transmissions. Its intention is to present the authentic wisdom teachings of Bon in such a way that they can be beneficially integrated into modern life.
Tenzin
Wangyal Rinpoche
Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche was the first to bring the Bon Dzogchen teachings to the West in 1988 and remains one of the very few Bonpo masters to live and teach in the West.
Rinpoche is an acclaimed author as well as a highly respected and beloved teacher to students throughout the world.
He is known for his clear, lively and insightful teaching style and his ability to make Tibetan practices easily accessible to the Western practitioner.
